“People just don’t want to work anymore! That’s why I can’t find employees!”
While not surprising behavior from an Asshole Boss, this shit still boils my blood. This person did their work effectively enough to rank first in an internal system, but old Asshole Boss here has to be nitpicky about a REASONABLE accommodation taken for safety and basic physical comfort. So a top performer is put in a situation of feeling like shit just because the boss wants things done their particular special way. This is like the managerial equivalent of cutting off your nose to spite your face. Nevermind the fact that this Asshole Boss should be FIRST consulting the shift leader they’ve allegedly entrusted with leadership authority right off the bat to understand what happened so that the employee didn’t even get this bullshit communication.
Asshole Bosses will be so fucking horrific they tank their own businesses, but blame workers. It’s beyond infuriating.
